Jess, of the Scientific Computing and Imaging (SCI) Institute, works to bring together research, technical tools, software deployment, distribution and cyber infrastructure in his roles as Technical Manager, Group Leader of the cyber infrastructure professional (CIP) CoOP, and staff scientist. His research interests include computational electrophysiology, statistical shape modeling, uncertainty quantification, machine learning, and developing software products and systems that support sustainable research communities. Jess received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Bioengineering from the University of Utah
